All Around The Pub

Ace reporter Bluebottle gives a fly-on-the-wall account of last weekend’s catastrophe:

“The regulars at ‘The Royal Oak Apple’ bug pub were enjoying their usual half fluid ounce, when a tremendous crack, and then crash, and everything went dark. Brimstone Butterfly panicked, and said that the sky was falling (a rumour put about by Chicken Licken). But then, Brimstone always was flighty. Once he could see there was no damage, and the darkness merely willow leaves, the landlord calmed the customers. Though he was a bit miffed when Alison Aphid looked up and seeing the leaves,  said, ‘Oh goody! Food’, because the pub always provided snacks. Cedric centipede had a little to much to drink , became boisterous and started singing:

‘All around the pub

I can see the green willow’

So the landlord had to throw him out. There’s nothing worse than a legless centipede...”
