Magnolia Memory

A generous donation of a young magnolia tree has been given by Hayley, to beautify the shrubbery around Coy Pond itself. The magnolia is ‘Yellow Bird’ and she sourced it from a small nursery in the new Forest.

It has been planted in memory of ‘Bumble’ her support dog and companion for fifteen years, who passed at the end of last year. Hayley is an artist and illustrator, and has a great interest in Nature. She and Bumble would often walk around the tranquil paths surrounding Coy Pond.

From the main path, the detour created by The Friends, taking you behind ‘The Flowery Dell’, was a favourite spot. Hence the gift of magnolia, planted there as a permanent memory.
