The observant will have noticed that the Friends of Coy Pond have a new Notice Board, sited just down the steps from Branksome Wood Road. This is down to the efforts of Wayne our chairman, and the support of our local councillors, in accessing funds offered under the Ward Improvement Fund by Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole council for such worthwhile schemes. It replaces a smaller Friends notice, vandalised many moons ago.
The new board is a handsome beast, large enough to take four A4 sheet side by side, so we can display all the certificates marking our success (‘If you’ve got it, flaunt it’!)
Headed by our new logo, and “Friends of Coy Pond” so there’s no doubt it’s about us.
The other notice board we have, is a third share with the council: the other two thirds a helpful map diagram, with pictures of wildlife that can be seen. This is right by the pond. So we’ve now got both ends of our main domain covered!
